Candidates who tend to pursue tertiary studies at universities in Malaysia or countries that acknowledge MUET. Other than that, MUET can be used for working purposes.

The Malaysian Examinations Council and One Quant Solution Sdn Bhd have signed an Authorisation Agreement (MoU) to conduct the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) in China.
